Kettering is 2-8 against the Lions since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Kettering Captains will be playing in front of their home fans against the South Lyon Lions at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
On Wednesday, Kettering came up short against the Vikings and fell 68-61. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Kettering in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now lost four in a row.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Hunter Jager, who scored six points along with two steals. It was the first time this season that he grabbed two or more steals. Another player making a difference was Nathan Bisnett, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, South Lyon scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Walled Lake Western with a sharp 73-49 victory. That 24 point margin sets a new team best for South Lyon this season.
Kettering dropped their record down to 4-11 with that defeat, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for South Lyon, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-10.
