Coral Reef lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ashton Williams, who scored 12 points along with four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Nathaniel Wesley, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds.
Coral Reef has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Hialeah Educational Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-4.
Coral Reef will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hialeah Gardens at 7:30 p.m. on January 8, 2024.
