Santa Fe Catholic has gone 8-1 against Oasis Christian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Hawks will look to defend their home field against the Lions at 4:00 p.m. Santa Fe Catholic knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully Oasis Christian likes a good challenge.
Last Thursday, Santa Fe Catholic made easy work of Riverview Academy of Math and Science and carried off a 16-1 win. Considering the Hawks have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Claire McGee was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with seven RBI, three runs, and one triple. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Violet Hammen was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season. Kindra Kelch was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
Santa Fe Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .576 or higher in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Oasis Christian came up short against Grace Christian on Friday, falling 16-6.
Amber Whittington was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.
Santa Fe Catholic pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.9 runs over those games. As for Oasis Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.
Monday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Santa Fe Catholic has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .529. However, it's not like Oasis Christian struggles in that department as they've averaged .511. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Santa Fe Catholic took their victory against Oasis Christian in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 22-7 score. Will the Hawks repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
