In what's become a running theme this season, the Pymatuning Valley Lakers gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They breezed by Maplewood on the road to the tune of 78-47. With Pymatuning Valley ahead 44-24 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Blake Krznaric continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 22 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Zane Neczeporenko, who scored 12 points along with six assists and six rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Maplewood lost, one person who can't be blamed is Alex Donaldson. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Donaldson hasn't dropped below two steals for 12 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Braeden Hoffstetter, who scored six points.
Pymatuning Valley's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.6 points per game. As for Maplewood, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.
Pymatuning Valley will be playing in front of their home fans against Mathews at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mathews knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four games -- so hopefully Pymatuning Valley likes a good challenge. As for Maplewood, they will head out on the road to square off against Badger at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Badger will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
