East Stroudsburg South and Allentown Central Catholic are an even 3-3 against one another since May of 2015, but likely not for long. The Cavaliers will be playing at home against the Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (East Stroudsburg South 4, Allentown Central Catholic 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
East Stroudsburg South is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 15 runs on Wednesday, they were much more limited against Parkland on Thursday. They came up short against the Trojans, falling 9-1. The Cavaliers have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Logan Rasmussen was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
Meanwhile, Allentown Central Catholic fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Whitehall on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Zephyrs by a score of 5-4.
Nicholas Vanfleet made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Nolan Young, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Allentown Central Catholic's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 8-2. As for East Stroudsburg South, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. East Stroudsburg South has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Allentown Central Catholic struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
East Stroudsburg South took their win against Allentown Central Catholic in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 11-0 score. Will the Cavaliers repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
