On Thursday, Elevation Prep Academy was beaten by Central Carolina Prep 80-53. Elevation Prep Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 55-28.
TYLER CRIDER put forth a good effort for the losing side as he went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points and 3 assists. The match was his seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of BRAYLEN CALDWELL, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Piedmont Classical scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They really took it to Millennium for the full four quarters, racking up a 97-23 victory at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Piedmont Classical has managed all season.
Elevation Prep Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Piedmont Classical, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 4-6 record this season.
Elevation Prep Academy came up short against Piedmont Classical in their previous matchup back in December of 2021, falling 58-46.
