It was a good run, but the Tri-Valley Bulldogs unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 67-59 to Marian Catholic. Tri-Valley was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Marian Catholic apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dawsyn Manning, who scored 17 points along with seven assists. Layne Yoder was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven steals.
Marian Catholic's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jesse Rodino led the charge by dropping a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. Rodino has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more rebounds the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was James Rodino, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds.
Tri-Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 17-5. As for Marian Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season.
Tri-Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Marian Catholic also has no future games currently scheduled.
