Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask McLeod). Everything went their way against the Pewitt Brahmas on Tuesday as the McLeod Longhorns made off with a 17-3 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Longhorns as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

McLeod's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Pewitt, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-4.

McLeod will have a chance to go back-to-back against Pewitt: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
