Lutheran North proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by three) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Divine Child Falcons. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Mustangs have posted since September 10th.

Lutheran North was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (100-92), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 12-25, 25-20, 15-25, 25-20, 15-10.

Lillie Meier paced Lutheran North's offense, picking up 17 kills. Meier got some help from Grace Tobey and her 36 assists. Finally, Kate Neumeyer kept Lutheran North's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Lutheran North's victory bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Divine Child, with the defeat, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 21-11.

Lutheran North has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against St. Mary's Prep on the 8th. As for Divine Child, they will face off against Lake Orion at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
