St. Paul Central will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Wednesday, then bounced right back against Edison on Friday. The Minutemen never let the Tommies get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. Considering the Minutemen have won six contests by more than 12 runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Jonny LeRoux was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 5-for-6 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Those five hits gave her a new career-high.
In other pitching news, Anna Kroetsch looked comfortable as she went 2-for-3 with two triples, two runs, and one RBI. Those two triples gave her a new career-high.
Back at the plate, Noe Christensen was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Martin, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one run.
St. Paul Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .600. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in four consecutive games.
Chanhassen hit DeLaSalle with a five-run third inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Islanders lost 12-1 to the Storm. The Islanders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
DeLaSalle saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Amy Kaisaki, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.
DeLaSalle's loss dropped their record down to 7-6-1. As for St. Paul Central, their record is now 7-5.
St. Paul Central suffered a grim 18-2 defeat to DeLaSalle in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Minutemen avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
