It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Caldwell Academy had no problem doing just that on Friday. They put the hurt on The Burlington School Spartans with a sharp 73-51 win. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 21 points or more this season.

Caldwell Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Neal Swindell, who went 9-for-10 to rack up 20 points and seven rebounds. That's the most points Swindell has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jaylen Cross, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 19 boards.

When it comes to explaining why The Burlington School lost, don't look at Kaden Hammond. Despite the final result, he shot 53% from the field on his way to 21 points and six rebounds. Hammond is on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 53% in the last seven games he's played. Cam Flippen was another key player, putting up nine points along with seven assists and six boards.

The win (which was Caldwell Academy's fourth in a row) raised their record to 26-9. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27.5 points. As for The Burlington School, their loss dropped their record down to 19-12.

As of now, neither Caldwell Academy nor The Burlington School have any future games scheduled.
