The biggest upset of the week belonged to Hayfork, who took down 58th ranked Happy Camp, 36-18. Edgar Castellanos ran for 249 yards in the win.
Butte Valley suffered a letdown when it was bounced from the state Top 25 this week after a 72-6 loss to Butte Valley. The Bulldogs had been ranked 24th, but fell to 26 following the defeat.
Jace Burrier was the best wideout in California - North (8 Man) this week as Tulelake fell to Redding Christian. Burrier tallied two receptions for 59 yards. Wyatt Cureton helped Tulelake's passing attack out by catching one ball for 55 yards.
Hayden Piper put up the best numbers through the air as the Lion bested the Honkers. He finished with eight completions for 142 yards and two touchdowns. Piper's favorite target this week was David Robinson, who caught two passes for 58 yards.
Redding Christian's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Lion feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Piper has thrown for 697 yards and nine touchdowns this season, while Robinson has nine catches for 303 yards. Piper also leads the league in rushing with 1020 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Dunsmuir takes on Butte Valley. The Tigers are currently in second, while Jason Allen's team is in third.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Dunsmuir takes on the Bulldogs. Ray Kellar's team has allowed 34 points this season, while Butte Valley has given up 50. The Tigers allowed 12 points last week as they beat Big Valley.
Redding Christian extended the longest winning streak in California - North (8 Man) this week by beating Tulelake, 57-20. The victory was the sixth in a row for Gerald Piper's team.
