A Season-Best Effort from Haydon Hutzell Leads Berlin Brothersvalley over North Star
Berlin Brothersvalley was led to victory by Haydon Hutzell, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Hutzell picked up 185 receiving yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 31 yards. He really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 86 yards.
On the year, Hutzell has caught 5 touchdowns while averaging 52.2 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after eight games last season, he was only averaging 18.75 receiving yards per game.

RJ Tallion and Co. Win Fourth in a Row
RJ Tallion was instrumental in extending Windber's winning streak to four on Friday. Tallion was excellent, making three total tackles (1.0 for loss). He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last four times he's played.
Windber's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. Tallion and Windber will take on Juniata Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Jakobe Harman Goes Supernova in Everett Loss
Everett was sadly handed a loss on Friday, but Jakobe Harman did his best to prevent it. Meyersdale had no answer to Harman as he rushed for 245 yards and two touchdowns.
Harman might have his next game, a road matchup with Claysburg-Kimmel, circled on his calendar. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Harman saw the Bulldogs), he rushed for 149 yards.

Spencer Whitfield's Rushing Yards a New Career-High
Spencer Whitfield posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 146 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. He is becoming a predictor of Meyersdale's success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is 3-1 (and 2-3 when he doesn't).
Meyersdale now has a winning record of 5-4. They and Mount Union are set to duel on Friday.

Karter Schurg Turns in Season-Best Performance
Karter Schurg produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Meyersdale to the win on Friday. Schurg picked up 135 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. The performance also marked the most rushing yards (nine) he has had since back in August. His longest reception was for an incredible 74 yards.
For the season, Schurg has caught 4 touchdowns while averaging 60.1 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after nine games last season, he was only averaging 13.44 receiving yards per game.
