The Gulf Shores Dolphins will take on the Ramsay Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Gulf Shores sitting on 14 straight victories and Ramsay on eight.
With a playoff game on the line, Gulf Shores rose to the challenge on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Tigers 45-0 at home. The result was nothing new for Gulf Shores, who have now won 12 games by 21 points or more so far this season.
Kolin Wilson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 269 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 14.2 yards per carry. Wilson has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last nine times he's played. Ronnie Royal and his 118 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Gulf Shores' victory.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Gulf Shores' defense and their three sacks. Leading the way was Jordan Watson and his two sacks.
Meanwhile, Ramsay put the finishing touches on their ninth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They put the hurt on Guntersville with a sharp 35-14 win. Ramsay's victory was all the more impressive since Guntersville was averaging only 14.08 points allowed on the season.
Ramsay got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kameron Keenan out in front who threw for 415 yards and three touchdowns while completing 81.3% of his passes. Tremell Washington also helped out as he racked up 160 receiving yards.
Gulf Shores has yet to lose a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 14-0 record. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 31.11 points. As for Ramsay, their victory bumped their record up to 12-2.
