Newark moved up to 322 from 374 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Ohio Capital - Ohio. The Wildcats climbed the ranks as a result of falling to Pickerington Central 35-6.
Pickerington North extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Groveport-Madison, 35-7. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.
Thanks to the talents of Jordan Aekins and Kumar Collins Reynoldsburg has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Aekins leads the league in passing with 706 yards, while Collins has rushed for 420 yards this season. The Cruisers' Markel Davis leads the league in receiving yards with 400 on 23 catches.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Pickerington North takes on Lincoln. Tom Phillips' team has allowed 103 points this season, while the Golden Lions have given up 88. The Panthers allowed 7 points last week as they defeated Groveport-Madison.
The Tigers took down Newark 35-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
