Hillhouse is on a three-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Kolbe-Cathedral is on a nine-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. Having just played yesterday, the Hillhouse Academics will get right back to it and host the Kolbe-Cathedral Cougars at 5:00 p.m. on December 28th.
On Wednesday, Hillhouse was beaten by North 78-51.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Kolbe-Cathedral ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They took down Crosby 89-74. Given Kolbe-Cathedral's advantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked third, while Crosby is ranked 41st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Hillhouse's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Kolbe-Cathedral, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
Hillhouse skirted past Kolbe-Cathedral 44-42 when the teams last played back in March. Does Hillhouse have another victory up their sleeve, or will Kolbe-Cathedral turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
