The Wayne Badgers will head out on the road to face off against the Valley Buffalos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Wayne is ranked 71st, while Valley is ranked 84th).
On Wednesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Wayne beat Piute 47-41. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Wayne.
Wayne's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but AJ Vandyke led the charge by dropping a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds. Vandyke is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Savannah Williams, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Valley earned a 49-37 win over Bryce Valley on Wednesday.
Wayne's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8.
Wayne was able to grind out a solid victory over Valley in their previous matchup on January 4th, winning 59-51. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wayne since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
