The Climax-Scotts Panthers can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They walked away with a 55-46 win over Athens. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Climax-Scotts also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Several Indians players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kale Kiefer, who scored 13 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kiefer has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Heath Tigges, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Climax-Scotts' victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-8. As for Athens, they dropped their record down to 0-13 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Climax-Scotts will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Gobles at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Michigan (Gobles is ranked 636th, while Climax-Scotts is ranked 643rd). As for Athens, they will head out on the road to square off against Litchfield at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
