The Northwood Rangers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 20 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Woodward 43-11 at home. The victory was just what Northwood needed coming off of a 43-23 loss in their prior contest.
Northwood's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Natalie Thompson, who scored 12 points along with three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Thompson has scored at least 25% of Northwood's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Autumn Schroeder, who scored 16 points.
Northwood's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1. As for Woodward, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
Northwood will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Toledo Christian at 7:15 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
