After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Grand Valley, the Palisade Bulldogs were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They came out on top against Moffat County by a score of 44-36. For Palisade, this counts as revenge for the 56-41 loss Moffat County walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Palisade found their leader in underclassman Mady Bavor, who scored 11 points along with 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Simons, who scored 17 points.
Moffat County's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Emma Tucker, who scored 11 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Mena Tucker, who scored 9 points.
Palisade's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Moffat County, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Palisade's road trip will continue as they head out to face Coal Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on December 8th. Moffat County won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Montrose at 3:30 p.m. on December 8th. Montrose presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Moffat County in Colorado (Montrose is ranked 46th, while Moffat County is ranked 193rd).
