Mountain View was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after topping Marana. The Mountain Lions came in at 25 in the state poll after placing at number 30 last week.
Salpointe Catholic took down Sabino 49-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Andrew Cota threw for 258 yards and 3 touchdowns and ran for 74 yards in the win.
The Lancers' dynamic duo of Cota and Cameron Denson proved tough for the Sabercats to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Kaelin Deboskie helped Salpointe Catholic's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 71 yards.

Richie Estrada was the best running back in II Section V this week. In 32 carries, he ran for 260 yards as Mountain View bested Jay Campos' team. Cody Rochon also contributed to the rushing game with 105 yards on the ground.
Estrada was a force in the backfield as Clarence McRae's team defeated the Tigers.
Cota put up the best numbers through the air as the Lancers topped the Sabercats. Cota's favorite target this week was Denson, who caught 5 passes for 178 yards.
He went 10-18 with 1 interceptions.
Denson was the best wideout in the league this week as Salpointe Catholic beat Sabino.
The Lancers' Cota and Denson have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Cota has thrown for 524 yards this season, while Denson, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 10 catches for 298 yards. The Mountain Lions' Estrada leads the league in rushing yards with 260.
Mountain View made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 1,448 from 1,674. The advance stemmed from a 51-28 victory over Marana last week.
