Softball Recap: Clovis East Has No Trouble Against Clovis

The home team had come away the winner the last six times Clovis East and Clovis had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Timberwolves blew past the Cougars 11-1 on Tuesday. The Timberwolves haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Chloe Solis looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Clovis East got a massive performance out of Aliana Fierro, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Fierro has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Destiny Baltierra, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Clovis East kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Clovis East's record is now 15-7-1. As for Clovis, they are on a 17-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-22.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Clovis East will challenge rival Central East at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Timberwolves 3.2, the Bengals 1.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Clovis is set to face off against their familiar foe Clovis West at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
