The North Central Knights scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They walked away with a 56-43 win over Gregory. The win was just what North Central needed coming off of a 72-41 loss in their prior match.
North Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Morgan Lewis led the charge by dropping a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Lewis scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adisyn Anderson, who scored 12 points along with five assists and three steals.
North Central's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Gregory, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Central will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against O'Neill at 2:00 p.m. on December 28th. Hopefully O'Neill focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 on Tuesday. Gregory will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Andes Central/Dakota Christian at 6:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
