Southwest extended their winning streak to seven games thanks to a huge performance from Tremayne Martin. The Southwest Dragons came out on top against the McCollum Cowboys by a score of 57-46 on Friday thanks in part to Martin, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 15 boards. He also grabbed five steals, which is notable because Southwest is 13-5 when he posts at least five steals, but 3-4 otherwise.

Another player making a difference was Travis Hune, who posted 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Southwest has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.6 points per game. As for McCollum, they dropped their record down to 10-10 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Coincidentally, Southwest and McCollum will both be playing Jay the next time they take the court. McCollum will head out to face Jay at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Southwest will host them at 6:30 p.m. on January 10th.
