Pharr-San Juan-Alamo has gone 9-1 against Edinburg North recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Bears will be playing at home against the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Pharr-San Juan-Alamo has nine straight wins, Edinburg North has seven straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Pharr-San Juan-Alamo's hitters will try to repeat the strong performance they gave on Friday, when they got past Weslaco's usually-dominant pitching crew. The Bears were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Panthers. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by six runs or more this season.

In other batting news, TJ Ayala and Jesse Garza did most of the damage at the plate: Ayala scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2, while Garza went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was Garza's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Nyles Alvarez, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Pharr-San Juan-Alamo was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .483. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Weslaco only posted a batting average of .280.
Meanwhile, Edinburg North lost 18-3 to La Joya on Friday.

Edinburg North's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Pharr-San Juan-Alamo hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .376. It's a different story for Edinburg North, though, as they've only averaged .205. Will they be able to contain Pharr-San Juan-Alamo's hitters?
Pharr-San Juan-Alamo was able to grind out a solid victory over Edinburg North in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 6-3. Do the Bears have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cougars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
