The Stratton Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 26 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Otis 63-25 on the road. Stratton's victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Stratton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sedonia Isenbart, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Isenbart has scored at least 25% of Stratton's points. Another player making a difference was Sophia Isenbart, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Stratton's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Otis, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
Stratton won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Colby at 1:00 p.m. on December 16th. Colby presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Stratton in their respective states (Colby is ranked tenth in Kansas, while Stratton is ranked 47th in Colorado). Otis will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bethune at 4:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Hopefully Bethune focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 last Saturday.
