Fans got a thrill when Khaleel Jenkins and Jesse Brookins connected against Orange Glen. The longest such play in Coastal this season, the connection resulted in 74 yards.
Santa Fe Christian scaled the state rankings by moving to 232 from 264 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Eagles climbed the ranks as a result of topping Central 31-2.
Jenkins put up the best numbers through the air as Parker bested the Patriots. He finished with a total of 8 completions for 175 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Horizon Christian Academy's Josh Gaudet and Ethan Underwood have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Gaudet has thrown for 698 yards this season, while Underwood, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 14 catches for 278 yards. The Lancers' Brookins leads the league in rushing yards with 660.
Parker extended the longest winning streak in Coastal this week by beating Orange Glen, 45-3. The victory was the fifth in a row for John Morrison's team.
