The Jordan Bulldogs are taking a road trip to face off against the George Washington Prep Generals at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Jordan is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Dymally just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 23-19 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Challengers. While the Bulldogs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Challengers 6-1 in the first period.

Nicole Buenrostro was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in five of her six plate appearances with five stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged three or more in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Araceli Aguilar, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with five stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, George Washington Prep's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Alliance Bloomfield by a score of 17-16.
Katherine Franco stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Emily Varela, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, two doubles, and two RBI.
George Washington Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Jordan, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Jordan has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 12.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like George Washington Prep struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Jordan suffered a grim 24-5 defeat to George Washington Prep in their previous matchup back in April. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
