Chico (Calif.) will rue a missed two-point conversation against
Enterprise (Redding, Calif.), as provided the difference in a 35-34 defeat.
The Hornets led 28-14 at halftime, but the Panthers recaptured the lead on a touchdown with 9:00 left in the fourth. Enterprise finally took the lead for good as it ran for a touchdown with 5:00 left in the fourth quarter.
EHS saw its 14-point halftime lead fall to seven entering the fourth.
Trevon Reid played well for Chico. He threw one touchdown and ran for one touchdown.
The victory is a complete turnaround from last season's game between these two teams, which CHS took, 48-21.
The loss comes after Chico defeated Central Valley 49-35 last week. With the win the Redding school extended its winning streak to three games.
Enterprise (4-1) goes up against Paradise in a Eastern game matchup next week, while Chico (3-2) locks horns with Red Bluff also in a Eastern game.
