Big Game from Taboada As El Monte Won 42-32
 Starting off the list is El Monte's  Felipe Taboada, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Taboada rushed for 151 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries. He really tore up the turf  during one magnificent 72-yard run.
 Taboada might have his next game, a road matchup with Rosemead, circled on his calendar. Back in October of 2023 (the last time  Taboada saw the Panthers), he rushed for 206 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 9.8 yards per carry.

A Season-Best  Performance from  Isaiah Standley Leads El Monte over Arroyo
 On Friday, El Monte got the W thanks in part to  Isaiah Standley playing the best football he has all season. Standley rushed for 164 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, good enough to  set a new career-high in  rushing yards in the process.
 A feisty cat fight will be fought when  Lions faces off against Rosemead at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Lions got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Panthers, probably because  Standley had a solid game then too: he rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown on only five carries. Can he match (or beat) that performance?

Another Game with at Least Three  Passing Touchdowns from  Matthew Medina
 South El Monte was led to victory by  Matthew Medina, who turned in his biggest game of the season  on Friday. Medina threw for 206 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 passes. The  performance  also marked the most  rushing yards (12)  he has had since back in August. He is  on a roll when it comes to  passing touchdowns, as he's  now  passed for three or more in the last three games he's  played dating back to last season.
 Medina and South El Monte will take on Gabrielino at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. South El Monte got just the result they wanted when they last faced Gabrielino, probably because  Medina had a solid game then too: he threw for 228 yards and two touchdowns. Can he match (or beat) that performance?
