The La Salette Academy Lions were the 43-30 winner over the Georgetown-Ridge Farm Buffaloes when they last played one another last Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. La Salette Academy fell to Georgetown-Ridge Farm 51-47.
La Salette Academy lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Eamon Martin, who scored 21 points. Martin scored a full 44.7% of La Salette Academy's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Charles Prather, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Georgetown-Ridge Farm's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ajhon Watson led the charge by scoring 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jase Latoz, who scored 14 points.
La Salette Academy's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-4. As for Georgetown-Ridge Farm, their win bumped their record up to 3-6.
La Salette Academy will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Illinois Lutheran at 12:00 p.m. on December 16th. Illinois Lutheran has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 28. Georgetown-Ridge Farm will be home for the holidays to greet Westville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Westville presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Georgetown-Ridge Farm in Illinois (Westville is ranked 289th, while Georgetown-Ridge Farm is ranked 662nd).
