It was a good run, but the Wilcox Central Jaguars unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 64-55 to Georgiana. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Wilcox Central's defeat ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-4. As for Georgiana, their win bumped their record up to 10-1.
Wilcox Central will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Monroe County at 7:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Georgiana will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Eufaula at 5:00 p.m. on December 26th. Eufaula has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 699 points over their last nine games.
