The Glenwood Springs Demons waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Palisade by a score of 62-51. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Glenwood Springs also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Glenwood Springs had a senior duo take command as Sim Wenger scored 20 points and Alec Claassen dropped a double-double on 21 points and 13 rebounds. Claassen continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Cale Sollars, who scored seven points.
Glenwood Springs' victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Palisade, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.
Glenwood Springs will be playing in front of their home fans against Summit at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Palisade, they will head out on the road to take on Grand Junction Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
