The Collierville Dragons will head out on the road to challenge the Arlington Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Collierville's pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so Arlington's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Collierville's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Houston by a score of 5-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Dragons.
The result came thanks to Isabella Flanders's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Collierville let Addison Rogers and Ashlyne Gerrey run wild. Rogers went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run, while Gerrey went 2-for-3 with one run and one double. Those two hits gave Rogers a new career-high. Ashlynn Howell also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Collierville hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in eight consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Arlington ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out St. George's 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Tigers have posted since May 8, 2025.
Abigail Nabors spent all 7.2 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on seven hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Rory Caldwell, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. Juleann Roberts was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases.
Collierville's record now sits at 10-6-1. As for Arlington, their record is now 8-4.
Collierville skirted past Arlington 4-3 when the teams last played back in May of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Dragons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
