Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Layton). They really took it to the Taylorsville Warriors for the full four quarters, racking up an 88-43 win. The Lancers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 34 points or more this season.

When it comes to explaining why Taylorsville lost on Thursday, don't look at Logan Bertagnolli. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 boards. Bertagnolli has been hot, having also posted two or more blocks the last eight times he's played. Another player making a difference was Kobe Allen, who posted 12 points.

The victory made it two in a row for Layton and bumps their season record up to 7-1. As for Taylorsville, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Layton and Murray will round out the year against one another at at 11:30 a.m. on December 27th. As for Taylorsville, they will head out to challenge Alta at 4:00 p.m. on December 28th.
