The South Carroll Cavaliers are taking a road trip to face off against the Winters Mill Falcons at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. South Carroll is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9 runs per game this season.

South Carroll is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Linganore 15-5 on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for the Cavaliers in their matchups with the Lancers: they've now won six in a row.

Drew Wilson made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

In other batting news, South Carroll got a massive performance out of Caleb Evans, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Connor Raeder, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Winters Mill hadn't done well against Liberty recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Winters Mill had just enough and edged out Liberty 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Falcons have posted since April 20, 2024.

Winters Mill's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for South Carroll, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

South Carroll was able to grind out a solid win over Winters Mill in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 7-4. Does South Carroll have another victory up their sleeve, or will Winters Mill turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
