The Tapestry Thunderhawks will head out on the road to face off against the East Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. East took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Tapestry, who comes in off a win.
Tapestry had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against Western New York Maritime Charter on Monday as Tapestry made off with a 81-59 win. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 44-17.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 77-30, which was the final score in East's tilt against Frontier on Friday. East was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-10.
East's defeat came about despite a quality game from Jussean Pearsall, who scored 17 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals. The game was Pearsall's third in a row with at least ten points.
Tapestry's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for East, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Tapestry was able to grind out a solid victory over East in their previous matchup back in February of 2019, winning 61-48. Will Tapestry repeat their success, or does East have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
