Section 11 Division I recap October 29, 2013
Longwood moved up to 264 from 312 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Section 11 Division I. The Lions were able to move up by topping Brentwood 42-7.
Commack added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Ward Melville, 35-6. The victory was the seventh in a row for the Cougars.
William Floyd's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Colonials feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Eric Brust has thrown for 222 yards and 3 touchdowns this season, while Jawan Jenkins has 4 catches for 73 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Northport takes on Commack. As it stands, the Tigers are in sixth, while Joe Reggio's team is in first.
