Softball Recap: Coosa Valley Academy Comes Up Short

If Coosa Valley Academy was riding high fresh off their 13-5 takedown of Heritage Christian Academy on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Coosa Valley Academy Rebels fell just short of the Heritage Christian Academy Eagles by a score of 10-9 on Tuesday. Even though they lost, the Rebels' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.2 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Seren Warmack and Chyanne Kuhn did some serious damage despite the final result: Warmack scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-4, while Kuhn scored two runs while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance gave Warmack a new career-high in stolen bases. The team also got some help courtesy of Larissa Marvich, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

They weren't the only ones working in the hit department: Coosa Valley Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive contests.

Coosa Valley Academy dropped their record down to 4-12 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Heritage Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-8 record this season.

While Coosa Valley Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
