The Academy of Notre Dame Lancers made easy work of the Norfolk County Agricultural Rams on Friday and carried off a 19-4 victory. The Lancers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matches by 14 runs or more this season.
Carina Clark made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Clark was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and two runs.
In other batting news, Jacqui Martineau was a standout: she got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Isabelle Andrews, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs and four RBI.
Academy of Notre Dame has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Norfolk County Agricultural, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.
