There's no place like home for Gering, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top against the Chase County Longhorns by a score of 48-39 on Saturday. The Bulldogs pushed the score to 42-20 by the end of the third, a deficit the Longhorns cut but never quite recovered from.

Chase County's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Noah Rau, who posted ten points and seven rebounds. Zak Anderson was another key player, putting up nine points.

Gering's victory bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Chase County, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-10.

Coming up, Gering will face off against McCook at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in McCook's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests. As for Chase County, they will take on Hitchcock County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
