LeFlore has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. Having just played yesterday, they will head out on the road to face off against the St. Paul's Episcopal Saints at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th. LeFlore will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 375th, while St. Paul's Episcopal is ranked 110th).
On Monday, LeFlore came up short against Blount and fell 63-50. LeFlore has struggled against Blount recently, as their match on Monday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, St. Paul's Episcopal had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.4 points), and they went ahead and made it eight on Friday. They came out on top against St. Luke's Episcopal by a score of 72-59. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
LeFlore's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for St. Paul's Episcopal, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-5.
LeFlore came up short against St. Paul's Episcopal when the teams last played back in January of 2023, falling 53-40. Can LeFlore avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
