The Brentwood Academy Eagles will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against the Columbia Central Lions at 12:00 p.m. on December 20th. Brentwood Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 241st, while Columbia Central is ranked 47th).
On Saturday, Brentwood Academy ended up a good deal behind Stewarts Creek and lost 52-34.
Meanwhile, Columbia Central had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They put the hurt on Blackman with a sharp 58-33 victory. Columbia Central might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won five matches by 25 points or more this season.
Saviya Morgan was her usual excellent self, scoring 26 points along with nine steals and five rebounds. Morgan is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Tionna Davis was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Brentwood Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Columbia Central, their victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1.
