Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tri). They came out on top against the Anderson Prep Academy Jets by a score of 13-9 on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Titans considering their one-run performance the contest before.
Karter Lunsford made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
In other batting news, James Burke and Braxton Miller did most of the damage at the plate: Burke went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple, while Miller got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs. That's the most stolen bases Miller has posted since back in April. Patrick Baker was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
Tri always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
