Division IV recap November 13, 2013
Scituate lost to North Providence 55-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
The Cougars led Division IV in scoring this week after putting up 55 points on the Spartans.
North Smithfield's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Michael Cicerone threw for 107 and 1 touchdown and Peter Keenan had 86 yards receiving. On the ground Dylan Narodowy chipped in 115 yards. Mark Keenan helped North Smithfield's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 13 yards.
The Northmen's dynamic duo of Cicerone and Keenan proved to be unstoppable against Smithfield, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Keenan helped North Smithfield's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 13 yards.
Narodowy was a passing and rushing force as North Smithfield bested the Sentinels. Narodowy's favorite target this week was Keenan, who caught 2 passes for 86 yards.
Central Falls's Malik Velasquez and Marcelino DaVega have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Velasquez has thrown for 1,193 yards this season, while DaVega has 33 catches for 602 yards. Providence Country Day/Wheeler/Sanchez Complex's Saul Mustaffa leads the league in rushing yards with 612.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Exeter-West Greenwich takes on second place North Providence.
There should be lots of points scored when Wesley Pennington's team and the Warriors face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Northmen comes in having scored 166 this season, while Central Falls has scored 127. North Smithfield scored 36 points last week as it defeated Smithfield.
North Providence made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,276 from 10,535. The improvement was the result of a 55-6 victory over Scituate last week.
