The Pace Academy Knights can now show off 16 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Tuesday. They breezed by Woodland at home to the tune of 70-40. The victory was familiar territory for Pace Academy who now have six in a row.
Pace Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Eric Chatfield out in front who scored 20 points along with seven assists and four steals. Chatfield has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more points the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Kyle Greene, who scored 12 points along with eight assists and two steals.
Despite the loss, Woodland still got an impressive performance from Mason Lewis, who scored 14 points along with three steals. Lewis has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last four times he's played.
Pace Academy is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season. As for Woodland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-10.
Pace Academy will head out on the road to face off against the Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lovett will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 156th, while the Knights are ranked 12th). As for Woodland, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
