The Model Secondary School for the Deaf Eagles are ranked highly in their home state, and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of the Mercersburg Academy Blue Storm. Model Secondary School for the Deaf strolled past Mercersburg Academy with points to spare, taking the game 52-36. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Jeramiah Whitehead continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 260 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 15.3 yards per carry, and also picking up 71 receiving yards. Luke Florio made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
The victory makes it two in a row for Model Secondary School for the Deaf and bumps their season record up to 6-3. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 19 points. As for Mercersburg Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.
