Fort Lauderdale found their leader in underclassman Azaziah Evans-Blake, who scored 16 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Evans-Blake has scored at least 25% of Fort Lauderdale's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maranda Byrnes, who scored 8 points.
Fort Lauderdale's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Coral Glades, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fort Lauderdale won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Chaminade-Madonna at 6:00 p.m. on December 5th. As for Coral Glades, they will head out on the road to face off against Cooper City at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cooper City is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
