After flying high against the Tiospaye Topa Thunderhawks on Friday, the Timber Lake Panthers came back down to earth. Timber Lake took a serious blow against Harding County on Saturday, falling 56-22. Having soared to a lofty 65 points in the game before, Timber Lake couldn't push the score so high this time.
Jaelyn Wendt was her usual excellent self, scoring eight points along with 11 rebounds and seven steals for Harding County. Wendt hasn't dropped below two blocks for six straight games. Claire Verhulst was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with three steals.
Timber Lake has fallen quite a ways from their 16-6 record last season and are now at 4-8. As for Harding County, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Timber Lake will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Bison at 5:30 p.m. As for Harding County, they will head out on the road to square off against New England at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
