Conestoga has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Fort Calhoun Pioneers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Conestoga's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five contests.
On Tuesday, Conestoga earned a 62-51 victory over Syracuse. 62 seems to be a good number for Conestoga as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Noah Simones was his usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Zachariah Smith, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Fort Calhoun beat Arlington 55-42 on Tuesday. Fort Calhoun pushed the score to 51-28 by the end of the third, a deficit Arlington cut but never quite recovered from.
Conestoga pushed their record up to 11-1 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.8 points per game. As for Fort Calhoun, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.
Conestoga skirted past Fort Calhoun 61-58 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Fort Calhoun's Grayson Bouwman, who scored 28 points along with seven rebounds.
